    Basing on its luxuriant beautiful gorillas, the Nyakagezi gorilla group is the only family tracked as well habituated in this park. The family consist of nine members; two silverback, three adult females, two juveniles and two infants.

    Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is one of the only two national parks in Uganda that are habitant for over half of the world’s imperial mountain gorillas.  This makes Uganda a top tour and safari destination in the world especially for tourist who are interested in gorilla habituation and tracking and this is mile stone where you will not be in hurry to forget.     It’s an experience that doesn’t come cheap because it is physically demanding – although the day starts with the park guide explaining the various options if you’re to became fatigued. Such precautions include hiring a team of porters to transport you through the jungle on a stretcher. At the first moment, a visitor sees the unique-impressing mountain gorilla in a very challenging to explain experience, unless you took a gorilla safari.

    Mountain gorillas are critically endangered, and the African Wildlife Foundation estimates that there are less than 900 mountain gorillas remaining in the wild. These small populations of gorillas reside in four national parks spanning three countries: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda, Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, and Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
