    The Garama cave (Ngarama cave) lies beneath a plateau near the edge of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park on the northern side. Garama cave can be traced in southwestern Uganda in Kisoro district around Mgahinga Gorilla National Park where it is set in the former farmland zone. In earlier times, the cave lied in the forest when it was occupied periodically by the Batwa who used it as a council chamber and a retreat after raiding their neighbors.     The size of Garama cave

    The Garama cave is the highest point you can ever be at during safari Mgahinga Gorilla National Park which is key tourist attraction. These caves used to be a traditional homestead for the Batwa who had lived there for many years until they were recently resettled.     The Garama cave is 342 meters long and 14 meters deep were several years ago, this cave was inhabited by the pygmy Batwa people. The Batwa warriors used the caves to attack their neighboring communities, but today it is inhabited by bats.
