    Itinerary

    Day 1: Entebbe-fly to Kisoro

    Our guide/driver picks you at from your hotel in Entebbe for your transfer to Entebbe International Airports to catch up with a scheduled flight to Kisoro. This morning flight departs at 07:00am arriving at 08:10am, you will enjoy the Ariel view of the beautiful changing Landscape. The flight is only for 1 and half hours to the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. On your arrival to Kisoro Airstrip, you will be transferred with our vehicle to you Lodge. After an early lunch ready to make tour of a coffee plantation visit to witness the whole process how to do coffee with a community village visit. Dinner and overnight stay at Mt Gahinga Lodge (lodge facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

    Day 2: Mgahinga Gorilla Trekking

    Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on relaxation and sightseeing around your camp Dinner and overnight stay at Mt Gahinga Lodge (lodge facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

    Day 3: Mgahinga Mt. Volcano Climbing

    Today is dedicated for a hike to Mgahinga Mountain. The mountain has afro-montane vegetation with cool climate and a large bamboo area. Mgahinga volcano acts as a better view point offering great views of the 3-countries Uganda, Rwanda and Congo on clear days without clouds and mist. You will be able to see Lake Edward in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Burundi and some peaks of Rwenzori Mountain. Meals and overnight at Mt.     Day 4: Mgahinga Batwa Cultural experience

    Today is dedicated for a Batwa experience where the Batwa demonstrate hunting techniques, gather honey, point out medicinal plants and demonstrate how to make bamboo cups. The highlight of the trail is a descent into the Garama cave, a 200m long lava tube beneath Mt. Gahinga. The Batwa are famed for their music and dance and their historic, subterranean council chamber in Garama cave provides the setting for an unforgettable performance. The Batwa trail is a celebration of the forest culture of the ‘first people’. It is impossible, however, to ignore the fact that Batwa life has greatly changed. The day’s events conclude is a discussion about the Batwa’s current situation. Meals and overnight at Mt. Gahinga Lodge (High end facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

    Day 5: Fly from Kisoro Airstrip fly back to Entebbe

    Today is dedicated for your flight out of Kisoro departing at 0825 arriving at 1125 ready for your onward flight connection back home or to your next destination End of service Meal plan: Breakfast
